The Nutrition Society
Start Date: 06 December 2016
End Date: 07 December 2016
Duration 2 days
In the UK, around 70 million working days are lost due to stress- and depression-related absences. The cost to the UK economy amounts to as much as 4.5% GDP. Nutrition has been implicated in behaviour, mood and in the pathology and treatment of mental illness.
This conference will look at where the evidence for a link between mental health and nutrition is strong, and where there is still an urgent requirement for further research. It will also draw together the community working in this area.
The conference is a must for academics, nutrition researchers, PhD students, dieticians, nutritionists working within industry, and mental and health care professionals.
