This one-day conference is aimed at both teachers and parents of children with special educational needs such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autistic spectrum disorders (ASD).

The aim is to provide accessible information on the latest research into these conditions and to explain how this can be used to improve education practice in mainstream schools, and to provide parents with practical guidance on the management of dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and ASD.

Presentations will be given by some of the world's leading experts in these areas, with time set aside for questions and discussion. Topics covered include:

  • Visual, auditory and motor function in dyslexia and related conditions
  • Developmental dyspraxia - identification and management
  • The role of emotions in learning, including practical techniques to reduce anxiety and stress
  • The role of nutrition in dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and the autistic spectrum

Proceeds from this conference will go to the Dyslexia Research Trust, an Oxford-based charity that supports pioneering scientific research into the biological basis of dyslexia and related conditions.
