The Vitamin D Council

The Vitamin D Council (Cholecalciferol Council) is a group of concerned citizens that believe many humans are needlessly suffering and dying from Vitamin D deficiency.

Their goal is to educate the public and professionals about vitamin D deficiency and the numerous diseases associated with that deficiency.

According to the their website, " humans do not get enough sun exposure in the 21st century. Because of this, many — if not most — humans are deficient in vitamin D. Researchers are beginning to discover that vitamin D deficiency is a risk factor for many diseases, including heart disease and cancer".

"Some of the functions of the body that vitamin D helps with include:

Immune system, which helps you to fight infection
Muscle function
Cardiovascular function, for a healthy heart and circulation
Respiratory system –for healthy lungs and airways
Brain development
Anti-cancer effects"
