17 Feb 2004 - Radio 4 - All In the Mind: Is fish good for the brain?

Dr Alex Richardson was interviewed on The Radio 4 programme 'All in the Mind' to explain some of the research showing that omega-3 fatty acids (and particularly EPA) may be helpful in the treatment of some psychological and psychiatric disorders.

Depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia were the main focus of the discussion, although Dr Richardson's current work involves similar research into dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and related conditions.

Details of published randomised controlled trials of omega-3 treatment in these conditions can be found on this website. Please use the filters provided to choose the conditions in which you are most interested, or use the search box provided.

Further information in the form of factsheets and handouts are also available via the 'Resources' link from the menu on the left, as are details of 'Events' and 'Links' to other websites with information you may find useful. Please also visit our online bookstore.
