Hazel holds a MSc in ‘Nutrition and Behaviour’, accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN), and a BSc in Psychology.


She has experience as a Learning Support Practitioner for students with special educational needs, and a personal and professional interest ADHD, Autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as emotional regulation and executive function.


She has carried out research of her own with higher education students, examining ADHD-type symptoms, mental wellbeing, and dietary omega 3 intakes within this population. She has also worked as a post-graduate Research Assistant at Bournemouth University on a project on women's mental health, eating behaviour and alcohol consumption, with Dr Chloe Casey PhD.


In addition to further research, Hazel is now using her knowledge, experience and skills to assist FAB in develop educational resources for both health professionals and the general public. Her range of interests make her passionate about improving knowldege of the relevance of diet to brain health and mental wellbeing and in providing tailored nutritional support to neurodivergent individuals, such as adults with ADHD-related symptoms, low mood, anxiety and overwhelm.
